November 11, 200619 yr I'm very surprised after a disappointing season that I haven't heard or seen on this board, many trade or free agent rumors. I wonder what Kenny has up his sleeve for this offseason. After all the trade winds from the trading deadline, I kind of shocked that I not much has be mentioned in the press or anything like.

The one thing you have to remember is that Kenny likes flying under the radar. Not only that, but from years past, if KW has a chance to improve the team he will do it. He doesn't make moves just to make moves, but he isn't afraid to pull the trigger on a trade that he think will make the team better.

Thats right .Its a long off-season and dont forget the Thome trade didnt happen last year til Thanksgiving .Kenny knows what hes doing and he will have all the pieces in place by spring-training.
November 12, 200619 yr I think KW will make his move once everything shakes out a little. Basically every team needs pitching, and there's not enough to go around in the FA market, so probably once the pitching moves off the FA KW will move a pitcher, likely Freddy. He'll be sitting in a great position.

November 13, 200619 yr If we have learned anything about Kenny, if he is going to make a FA move, it will be right away, or it will be at the very end searching the bargain bin. he will not get into a bidding war for anyone.
November 14, 200619 yr I really think the white sox are sitting pretty. They've got what no one else has... starting pitching. Realistically they could trade two starters (including broadway) and not miss a beat next season. The sox are THE prime trading partner in this hot-stove year. We're going to see some crazy contracts in the next few weeks. That may actually help the sox. Suddenly, Freddie Garcia's contract won't seem so nutty when we start hearing about the deals happening this offseason.

For a team that has starting pitching that nobody else has, they really didn't do very well finishing 3rd in their division, and it would have been nice to have 1 or 2 of them have an ERA under 4.00. White Sox starters all have question marks. Hopefully not too many that would keep their value down to other teams.
