It was funny how at the 2005 trade deadline there was a HUGE demand by potsers here for us to trade for Aubrey Huff because he was that LHH we needed.

 

Balta's idea would be good, if we could play Huff into LF and trade Pods and let Iguchi lead off, but that'd be the only scenario I'd consider.

He's just about done. Too many injuries. I was looking at some clips of Preston Wilson on MLB.com earlier. His defense is better than I thought. He's not a gold glover by any means. But he can more than hold down anyone of the 3 OF spots. He's got power, speed, and hits lefties very well. He'd be ideal. I hope Kenny is looking into him.

While fielding interest from an American League team, outfielder Preston Wilson expressed to the Cardinals a wish to return. The Cardinals have not decided if they want to add a righthanded bat to the outfield. Pitching remains the focus.

I wonder if this might be the White Sox?
