i really think that thorton will be able to help floyd a lot.

if you look at their stories they are basicly the same....

highly touted 1st round draft picks who had a lot of trouble with other clubs.... i think for floyd to have thorton here giving him empathy and understanding will allow gavin to fully accept his past and move on...

just a thought i had come to mind earlier. =)

I have never seen Floyd pitch, but I'm predicting he's going to scrub it up.

how scientific of you =D

Thornton is a LHP with a world class fastball. Floyd is a righty with an average fastball.

yeah, but how did that LHP with a world class fastball do before we got him and worked out his kinks? how did that LHP with a world class fastball do last spring training?

look at thornton now compared to then... its night and day.

we odviously helped him.

he used to have confadnce problems too. just like floyd.

i think thornton will be very helpful to him on days like this.... where flyod, who has low self esteem.... got roughed up a bit.... i think thornton will pick him up and be able to guide him back to where he was when he was a #4 overall pick.

i think don cooper will help him more than thornton. coop fixes everyone and if any pitching coach in the league can help floyd its cooper.
