March 28, 200719 yr That is long!!! I'm going to try some of that with my kids! My son (8yrs) quits very quickly if he doesn't do something well right away!! He's done it with sports (baseball and soccer) and some with school! I have tried to tell him all I want is effort, but that doesn't really seem to work!! Sometimes it feels like he fails just to upset me!!! And I don't get upset that he's not doing well, I get upset that he's not trying! He can't tell the difference, though!
