Crede

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone heard any talk about Crede's back...is he day-to-day or is a trip to the DL possible? I know that his back has bothered him for a couple of seasons.

They said last night they hope to have him back for this weekend.

Surgery is always a last resort, but you have to wonder if Joe shoudn't have taken that option. Maybe at the end of this year.

I'm not going to second guess anybody for opting to try something other than back surgery.

yeah.. no kidding, especially entering free agency right before your prime.

from what I read after last season surgery to Joe's Back would have been done right after last season's conclusion. It was Joe and Boras's decision to rehab the back and avoid the surgery. If the surgery would have been done Joe would have been able to play in spring training or soon thereafter. Hindsight is always 20/20

I don't know about a possible DL trip or a day-to-day designation; but, one thing I am certain of is Joe Crede received a frantic call this morning from Scott Boras minutes after he read what Crede mentioned to the paper about a possible back surgery in the off-season.

That's a big time no-no, Joe.

Nor would I. Surgery is the last thing you want to do. I was simply making the obvious observation

That is assuming that everything went correctly with the surgery.
