why the hell do we continue to let him play when he has shown he offers NOTHING to help out the team 0-3 so far and he cant muster more that a pop up with bases loaded and 1 out i would have been happier with a GIDP from him i think we need to bench him for a while

He pulled off a DLo right there.

Send him down to the minors. Hes just wasting space. Borchard could be up here getting practice in the OF, but instead we give that spot to some bum whos hitting .185. I dont care that hes an AS. That was then. Now, he just sucks!

He needs to be sent down or something. He has absolutely no chance up there.

Paulie's done. He cost us this game along with Colon's walks.

Paulie's at bat with one out was ridiculous.

He pops up and simply kills us.

He's meat; he's cooked.

He should be sent down the rest of the season and try it again next spring with the big club.

You know, I actually think this would be a great idea. He'd then have to clear waivers, and if someone wanted to take him, they could. I'd assume no one would want him, and he'd get his swings in down there and he'd hopefully get out of this funk that he is in.

whatever helps him get above .200 or maybe even hit a HR and when was the last time that happened?

Do you think he's another Ron Kittle? Good for a while then one day it was all over at a young age. Couldn't hit any more.

Konerko didn't look good that's for sure, but he is making contact. The fans were rooting for him and you just have to feel for the guy and what he is going through. You know he wants to contribute with the bat. His confidence has to be shot right now. He needs to get a hit or two and rive in a run and build on it from there. I hope he turns it around soon for his sake and the Sox.

I dont think he'll be able to clear waivers. There must be teams out there looking at him. Hes still young, and he wasnt an AllStar last year for no reason. I'd say theres a number of teams out there that would take a chance with him. Meanwhile I guess he'll just have to rot on the bench.

the place was roaring "Paulie, Paulie" for his last at bat.

Damn I wish he had gotten a hit -

but I'm not ready to so totally disregard, cast off, and degrade a player who has given us alot over the past several seasons

and I think the opinion of the majority of the fans at the game - based on what I heard at the Cell - was we are all pulling for PK and whatever he needs to get turned around will be great - but PK is still very much wanted - he has given us a lot, he doesn't derserve the total slams when he struggles

No s***. I was trying to "will" him a hit from my Cub fan friend's couch when the sCrUBS walked the bases loaded to get to him. I just don't understand it. A damn shame. And anyone talking s*** about Paulie that doesn't remember what he has done for this team the last couple of years is really short-sighted. He may be killing the team now, but he is not an ex-AllStar (possible AllStar MVP) for nothing. Mark my words..... PK will be AL ComeBack Player of the Year for 2004. Book it :headbang

Who's willing to bet Mark Buehrle gets another RBI before PK does?

Since the Sox pitchers don't have to bat until interleague play '04, I really hope that doesn't happen.

But, since I want Konerko to get the boot... Maybe I do.

Not me. Interleague is over tomorrow and the next time MB pitches and has to bat will be in the WS :headbang

Is this the same CubKilla that sat with us in the left field bleachers the day Crede hit his walkoff homer against the Tigers?

I honestly don't know what to think/do about Kong anymore, I do know however that his next AB shouldn't come til the D-Rays series. We just can't afford it at this point.

Konerko, he sucks balls

s***TO.....YA seen him

There's a reason why I put it in green ;)

I watched the game on WGN and that's and I was stirred by the Sox crowd chanting for PK. I tried to psychic a hit for the guy but it didn't happen and just looking at Konerko and seeing the disappointment in him made you want to cheer for him that much more. I like him and think he will get this turned around and next year AL pitchers look out.
