I would have to disagree. The reason this year will have packed crowds is because the season ticket base is still very high. I expect the number of ST holders to drop quite a bit next season if things continue on this path.

Sox fans historically have not come out to the ballpark in droves to watch mediocre baseball. Because of '05, it won't be as bad as it was back in the late '90s. But if things don't get better and the firesale happens next month, the Sox will probably slide back to the 2.2 million mark (27,000 per game).
