Griffey wants to retire a Mariner

Featured Replies

Interesting. I wonder if the Mariners would have interest in doing this. They have mostly new people in since the last time he was there, otherwise I'd wonder considering how he pretty much held the franchise hostage to the point that the Reds vastly underpaid when they acquired Griffey (in terms of talent...of course Griff did end up getting hurt).

I know some diehard Mariner fans who despise him. But if he wants to retire a Mariner, I hope he retires a Mariner.

All they got in return for the most talented player in the history of the game was Mike Cameron.

As much as I like the city of Cincinnati, he should have never left Seattle.
