I disagree - watch:

 

"Joan Cusack looks like her face got stuck on a hot plate"

 

She looks like a circus clown - her face is all distorted-looking and weird.

She was never really good-looking, but now she's downright bizarre.

The Ruth Buzzi comparison is EXCELLENT, by the way...
