He has 999 career hits, and counting. Should get into 4 figures tonight.

Wow..... and he has years ahead of him too barring injury.

I was hoping he would do it yesterday

Didn't Maggs once say he wants to retire at a fairly young age? I remember him saying something like that once.

Well so far he has gotten 1000 and 1001 :)

:cheers ......NOW we have to get Franky his 400th homer

BE GOOD

Well, heck, if he plays long enough he could get 3000...

mags 1000 was a homer too

That middle of the lineup with Thomas-Ordonez-Lee-Valentin is nothing but solid! Ordonez is quite the "clean up" guy. He's sets a good example and is great in the clubhouse. Here's to hopefully his entire career spent here on the southside of Chicago.

Go Maggs! :headbang

Maggs' first half has been below his average. Valentin's first half has been below his average. In terms of RBI's, Frank's first half has been below his average.

Colon's and Buehrle's first halves have been below their averages.

In other words, the whole damn team might put it all together at once. Let's be honest, when Valentin hits, this team wins. When Buehrle is ON, this team wins.

I see nothing but brighter days on the horizon. As for the Royals and Twins, well, let's just say that the proof will be in the pudding. Those two teams will be faded by the beginning of August. And piss on them both.

Several of our players have had below average first halves. You didn't even mention Konerko, who's the prime example. If we could get thses to perform just "average" the rest of the way, it should give us the division.
