santo=dorf
QUOTE(greg775 @ Jul 12, 2007 -> 10:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This seems like a good thread to ask the question. Seriously, to all of you who I trust with knowledge of baseball: Can you identify or could KW identify somebody the Sox could acquire from a non contender to pitch the sixth and seventh innings or seventh and eighth preferably? Is anybody out there we could get for a prospect or two? Anybody??? Rich Harden?

jasonxctf
as Ozzie once said, you can't win the Kentucky Derby unless you have the horse(s). Since May, we've known that our bullpen was horrible. What has Kenny done to give Ozzie the horses you need to be a contender? Now, its too late.

Is anybody out there we could get for a prospect or two? Anybody??? Just looking at stats alone, which I know can be a problem, I can find 16 in just the AL alone. There's got to be 1 or 2 amongst the 16, without a no trade clause, injury free with a favorable contract that we can deal 1-2 prospects for. Baltimore J. Walker 1-1 3.03ERA 32.2IP 44G C. LVSoxFan
Man this is going to be a long second half with this bullpen. Talk about ruining what was a great start to the second half. Vintage Garland, bats roaring... and then they give up five runs? I said to my mom last night "I'd hate to be Ozzie." Can you imagine having to pick up that phone and just dreading it? knightni
Why couldnt the Sox have re-signed Riske? He was decent last year. Not wild enough?
Maverick0984
QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 13, 2007 -> 01:16 PM) Why couldnt the Sox have re-signed Riske? He was decent last year. Not wild enough? Ya well, hindsight's 20/20. His second half last year, if I remember correct, he got hit around quite a bit and we got rid of him in what we thought was an upgrade. But ya, his ERA isn't too shabby, easy to say that now though.
