August 3, 200718 yr ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - Denver Broncos linebacker Warrick Holdman was hospitalized with a spinal cord concussion following a collision with a teammate at training camp Thursday. Holdman was carted off the field strapped to a backboard and taken by ambulance to Sky Ridge Medical Center, where he was being kept overnight for observation, team spokesman Jim Saccomano said. Holdman temporarily lost feeling in his extremities but had movement in his arms and legs by the time he was taken off the field. ``He went numb for about 30, 40 seconds out there. He got his feeling back, which is a good sign,'' coach Mike Shanahan said. ``... It was a good sign when he could move his fingers, move his toes and was able to sit up. We'll keep our fingers crossed.'' Holdman appeared to hit the crown of his helmet on another player's helmet and crumpled to the grass midway through the morning workout. He was rolled over onto his back after a minute, but stayed down for eight minutes.
August 3, 200718 yr I always liked him as a Bear, the trio of Holdman, Urlacher, and Colvin is arguably better than the trio we have now..
August 4, 200718 yr QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Aug 2, 2007 -> 11:54 PM) I always liked him as a Bear, the trio of Holdman, Urlacher, and Colvin is arguably better than the trio we have now.. I disagree. Holdman definitely was better than Hillenmeyer, but Colvin was just good as a pass rusher really. Lance Briggs is a complete LB IMO.

Well Urlacher is pretty much irrelevant, but Briggs and HH IMO are much better than Colvin and Holdman. Holdman actually isnt even really good, he hasnt done anything since he left Chicago for Cleveland. As far as Colvin, he was a good pass rusher but over pursued the run too much and was terrible in pass coverage, he relied on Urlachers athleticism to bail him out on numerous occasions. His career in New England has been nothing special. HH isnt a gamebreaker but he doesnt make mistakes and is an inexpensive, solid contributing member of the defense, and Briggs, despite off the field contract issues, has been a monster and a great all around linebacker.
August 5, 200718 yr Hope Holdman gets better. Always liked him as a Bear, despite that one major gaffe in the playoff game against the Eagles.

Thats a strong statement. I disagree though. I would rank the LB's as: Urlacher Briggs - Colvin Holdman - - Hunter The Combo of Briggs and Urlacher is just too good that even sticking Hilenmayer in there would still beat out the 01 LB corp
