September 12, 200718 yr I haven't seen any of the games. I know they haven't played that much but what does everyone think of Broadway and Phillips? They seem to be doing better than Thornton and MacDougal.
September 12, 200718 yr Broadway and Phillips have both been more effective than I would have expected. I wouldn't be surprised to see Heath catch on either at the end of our pen, or as a 5th starter on a bad team next year. Broadway will be interesting to see if hitters start to take more walks as they see him.
September 12, 200718 yr I think we need to see more of them. But I must admit, I can't figure out Phillips. He was effective for 2 years at Charlotte, but was scouted to have pretty pedestrian stuff. And yet somehow, he got guys out. He gets here - so far, same thing. So I ask... how is he getting people out? I for one would like to see him get a start, just to see what happens, since Danks is now going to be shut down for the year anyway.
