A photograph by a controversial American artist which is part of Sir Elton John's private collection has been seized by police from a gallery on suspicion it may have breached child pornography laws.

Sounds kind of like what happened with Pete Townsend and Pee Wee Herman. I wonder if the authorities are able to get anywhere with this

Good grief. That's so sad on so many levels.

 

Townshend's case was different. He actually used a credit card to access child porn websites. Pee Wee's thing was similiar in that it was also about erotic art - I believe he plead to a lesser charge.

 

If this American artist has had numerous shows or exhibitions, and there hasn't been an issue until now - Elton should be in the clear. Thank God he'll be dealing with British courts and not the extreme American ones.
