    I'm sort of surprised there wasn't more damage. 5.6 and shallow (~5 miles down) is a pretty strong tremor.

    My friend said that it was surprisingly weak. He lives in San Jose and was building a bookshelf at the time. He said the shelf didn't even topple over, just wobbled a bit.

    Hell yeah, 5.6 is no joke. There should have been more damage.
