LOL. 5 runs on 2 hits... both singles.

Nice of Montgomery to help us out with 2 walks, 3 errors, and an HBP.

Talk about meltdown.

Whisler is having a great year ERA wise, but his peripherals are just so-so. 28.2 innings, 27 hits, 12 BBs and 10 Ks. He cannot keep his ERA that low, or even under 3.00 probably if he continues to walk more than he strikes out. However, it's nice to see him start off the year solidly.

Kannapolis is playing a doubleheader.

They lost the first game 3-1.

Rice went the distance (6 innings), but got no run support. Kanny only got 2 hits.

Rice only gave up 1 hit. He struck out 6 and walked 3.

Levi Maxwell is getting the start in game 2.

This ought to be interesting. He has been absolutely lights out as a reliever, but this is his first start.

He's coming into the game with a 0.47 ERA.

Edit: Kannapolis lost the second game 2-1.

Nice outing for Maxwell, but he lost despite giving up only 1 hit and 1 walk in 4 innings.

Winston-Salem won 5-0.

OUTSTANDING outing for Poreda!!!

7 innings; 1 run; on 1 hit; 7 strikeouts; 1 walk.

He had a no-hitter through 5 innings and then gave up a homerun in the 6th... that's all.

Brandon Allen had 3-hits; John Shelby had 2-hits; and so did Fernando Hernandez.

Allen now has an 8-game hitting streak going!! And he's 5-10 in the last two games.

Lee Cruz with a hit... has now hit safely in 8 of his last 10 games.

I LOOOOVE Logan Johnson and his .960 OPS

Poreda had a great start.

7 innings, 7 k's and only one hit(solo HR).

Wow how do you get swept in a DH when your pitching staff gives up a combined 3 hits?

I think the major league team could have given that a run for its money on the last road trip
