July 9, 200322 yr They went 9-3 against the Twins and Cubs and so far theyve gone 1-3 against two of the worst teams in baseball. How do they do it? They get all our hopes up and then they smash em. So, should we see these guys as contenders or as losers?
July 9, 200322 yr Author And whats wrong with Manuel? Have Everett DH and Frank play first. Paulie sucks, cant he realize that?
July 9, 200322 yr I think its called playing to the level of your competition. As much as I hate to say it, the Sox have done this for the better part of 3 seasons now.

July 9, 200322 yr Bart Giamatti: baseball is designed to break your heart and make you insane at the same time......... .....see what i mean.......
July 9, 200322 yr Every dam time you get excited about this team they lose their intensity like everything is good. Next time we are in contention instead of adding to help lets take away players and see if that works.

You are correct sir. Do you think it's because even though they are millionaires they hate working for Jerry Reinsdork and KW? Is there some innate problem where they just mail it in against bad teams? This team needs Lou Piniella but there's only one Lou to go around.
July 9, 200322 yr and make you insane at the same time......... .....see what i mean....... The lolhitting smiley is kinda funny if you stare at it long enough.
July 9, 200322 yr no inate problem I think, just that in every game, 1 team loses I wouldn't look for larger meanings there -
July 9, 200322 yr The lolhitting smiley is kinda funny if you stare at it long enough. its just like this team..............stare at it long enough and it becomes funny..........
July 9, 200322 yr Wait wait...Didn't Bart Giamatti DIE of a heart attack. Wow how's that for irony? Pretty good I would say. No disrespect intended of course.
July 9, 200322 yr We lose to Tampa Bat 4-3 and 3-2 in games we should have won. we beat them 11-3 and then go to Detroit and have the wheels stolen from us losing 2-1. How can a team with the supposed power of the Sox lose 3 one run low scoring games to teams like the Tigers and D-Rays? We were just at the point of celebrating what many of us thought was a turnaround and then more jubilation over adding more fuel to the team in Alomar and Everett. It's time to round up the usual suspects. Konerko is 0-7 in his last two games and GIDP tonight. He hasn't been playing much lately for good cause, but still seems intent on catching Ordonez in the GIDP race. Lee most likely can't remember to hit to right and everyone is swinging for the fences. I see the team rolled over into 4 DP's tonight. It is so pathetic to see the Tigers and D-Rays with players hitting for a higher average than the Sox. Pitchers who come out of nowhere for the sole purpose in life to shut the Sox down & our hitters let them. I don't think they can make the adjustments needed to drive in the big run unless it's with a homerun swing. Where is the heart and drive to this team? The Twins lost and the Royals won so we both drop an extra game behind KC. How does KC get so motivated and our team so complacent and ready to lose against the teams we need to beat to make up ground. We might beat KC and Minny and Boston, but lose to Detrit and Tampa Bay. The thing is that KC beats the lowlies and we can't. Now Cleveland is starting to jell as a young team also so we have another one to be worried about.
July 9, 200322 yr So, should we see these guys as contenders or as losers? Well..... did anyone think this team was a WS contender with the additions of Alomar and Everett? If you did, I have a live T-Rex that's house trained to sell you .
