Lisle Ticket Office

Featured Replies

I'd post this in the ticket forum, but it's not quite as well-traveled. Just a quick question: has anyone ever personally been to the ticket office at the Bulls-Sox academy in Lisle? I've spoken to a couple of people who claimed to have been there, but I can't find any information about it online. I'm trying to get walkup tickets without driving down to the Cell.

I've been there many times and never seen a ticket office there.

That's what I thought, but I was hoping to be wrong.

Somewhat related question: does anyone have an idea how long before gametime the unused players' tickets are released for sale? I'm essentially just looking for a way to buy those on occasion, so if I can narrow it down I can just call the box office at the Cell.

If it works anything like other events you can probably check on-line during the day before the game. I know even for concerts that are crazy popular and sell-out in minutes, they release tickets after promo tickets aren't given away or other reasons. I have scored these on-line before and they're usually good seats.

Friends and family tickets are released 90 minutes before gametime, but most of the time there are none to be released. The players are usually sure about who's coming to the games. It's the comps that are held on to that you are probably referring to. Those, iirc, are made up of a couple hundred seats from 131 to 134 and I think those go on sale 24 hours before game time or for sell outs the morning of, but in all honesty I don't think there is a set policy. Whatever they feel the demand is dictates what and when they do it I would guess.

I don't know when they go on sale, but Steff is correct, they do have some seats in the lower level behind the plate that go onsale right before the game. That is how I was able to sit lower level for the 4th of July game. We sat in section 137 I think. We didn't get those until 60-75 minutes before 1st pitch.

I purchased tickets at the Bulls-Sox Academy several years ago, but I can't confirm they still offer this service. There is no actual ticket office per se, you just ask the person in the sports shop to help with buying the tickets you want. When I went, they had all the sections charted and could search for seats around the park just like at the real box office

Hmm, that's why there may not be any information about it online. The first time I heard about this was five or six years ago, but I've never got around to trying it. It's always something I've been vaguely curious about, so I'll pop in when I get back into town and report back on the results.

umm, why not call the bulls/sox academy?
