I've been really considering getting a mac and for some reason can only finds arguments for Macintosh. So what are the key advantages for PCs? I always hear compatibility issues, but since now Macs now come with the ability to run both platforms, that isn't necessarily viable any longer.

You can still buy a brand new PC for under $1000.

If price wasn't a factor, what are the advantages?

Unless you are designing graphics, editing movies or something of the such, then a PC is a better fit for you as they do just about everything else better than a Mac. I've had both and have both and PC's are just overall better machines for both my business and personal life. Even just basic web surfing is easier on my PC.

I don't have much experience personally but I've read that PC's are much easier to upgrade. With a Mac, you have to find an Apple Store.

I've also heard that if you have any software that only runs on Windows, you have install Windows on the Mac to run it. Even then, it doesn't run as well.

I also think that people that are computer savvy has an easier time configuring, upgrading, and triaging PC's over Macs
