So, what do you all think? Cool? Sacrilege? Orthodox? Heretic?

On the plus side, picking something out for my dad for Christmas just got a lot easier.

hmmm.... now that's an interesting take. I kinda like it. I have no desire to buy it, but I liek the idea.

If it encourages a few more people to read the Bible, I'm for it.

Pretty cool. Looks like another tool for studying an aspect of the Bible (while having the whole thing there as well). I like it better than a typical topic study book because it is the whole Bible and you can see the whole context of what is being highlighted.

My first thought was: someone took the time to finally highlight the sarcastic parts. :P

Then, after my laughter died down:

The Green Bible will equip and encourage people to see God's vision for creation and help them engage in the work of healing and sustaining it. With over 1,000 references to the earth in the Bible, compared to 490 references to heaven and 530 references to love, the Bible carries a powerful message for the earth.

I'm not sure if this person just implied that God is 2x more interested in the environment than love...but that's the way that poorly written paragraph was written.

Besides that, it's a good idea to used recycled paper and soy based ink.

Get it in ESV and I'd consider it.
