Sox bench coach Joey Cora is among those expected to be interviewed for the manager's job by Seattle GM Jack Zduriencik, even though the Sox have not been asked for permission. The others: Willie Randolph, Ned Yost, Bobby Valentine, Lloyd McClendon, Bob Brenly and interim manager Jim Riggleman, who has taken a coaching job with Washington but has an out clause. ...

Cora is getting closer and closer to a job it seems.

He wasn't suited for the 3B role obviously, but I think he's done pretty well as the bench coach. He'd be hard to replace there.
