If the Royals got Juan Gone

Featured Replies

Wow, he's got pretty nice numbers, maybe he does warrant consideration.

I like the fact that he has several pitches that he can throw for strikes and the fact that he has a lot of experience, even though it may not be in America.

I definitely believe his window of opportunity to make the Majors is this year or next. If he doesn't make it by then, age will work against him.

Thanks for the info Rex.

My pleasure

I think Yofu will be a September Callup. If the Sox like what they see out of him, I'd look for him to replace Glover in the bullpen next season.

They do need to give him a good look, because I believe he would be a free agent again next year if they don't put him on the 40-man roster.

I'd say next season the prospects that have a shot to make the Sox at the start of the season, barring injuries would be:

From the Knights

Arnie Munoz

Felix Diaz

Jon Rauch

Jon Adkins (If he keeps improving)

Joe Borchard

Tim Hummel

Aaron Miles

Mike Rivera

Matt Ginter

From the Barons

Neal Cotts

Tetsu Yofu

Jeremy Reed

Can't argue with that list at all....

Pacheco could be a dark horse candidate, that is if the Rangers don't take him from us.

Ya I was thinking Pacheco and then I figured that he'll probably go to AAA next year, simply because the Sox don't seem too keen on rushing guys.

I guess it all depends on what next years team looks like. Pacheco will be good though, so I hope the Sox don't lose him.

In all honesty I could care less if the Sox lost Yan and Webster or anyone else other then Rupe and Pacheco, those are the guys I want.
