July 14, 200322 yr Delgado has a chance to completely leave the park in LC or RC, Kittle style. It would be close to a 600ft. shot. He has gone well over 500Ft. in a game. That would be AWSOME!!!
July 14, 200322 yr i dont think we will see any 600ft home runs since even McGwire couldnt hit them that far..i predict the winner to be either Sexson or Delgado also
July 14, 200322 yr Who knows where McGwire's landed in Boston. Some of those could still be ing going. He had to a least hit 550 with a couple of those and Delgado has a quicker bat. It will be fun to see either way.

It's really hard to say though because these guys aren't perennial home run derby contestants like Bonds, Sosa, McGwire etc. I really think tonight is going to be an interesting event for the real baseball fans out there who know a little about the players in it. Granted, probably won't help out TV ratings without Sammy or Bonds, but for genuine baseball fans it should be good.

July 14, 200322 yr It could be a magnificent site. The derby for me has changed. I don't care who wins. Someone could hit 40 330ft. shots over the left field wall. Wow. I want moon shots and Delgado is the man for that!
July 14, 200322 yr I still think Giambi will do well because he has experience...he knows not too burn himself out in the first round (2 years ago at safeco) and pace himself (last year at miller)
