If I were Ozzie, I'd start the season with Anderson in CF and Owens as a 4th outfielder/pinch runner. Owens has zero power, is a mediocre contact hitter, has too low an OBP to hit leadoff, and isn't that great in CF. I'll take Anderson's Gold Glove-caliber defense and his ability to drive in runs at the bottom of the lineup.

 

I would give him the start based purely on his diving catch to end the season.

I'm willing to give Owens a chance. He was much better in second call up. Whether he can improve on that is yet to be seen. No one knkows what will happen or how he'll play. We know what we have in BA,and at the plate,that is very poor. Owens may turn out to stink as well but i'd give him a chance. People wanted Willie Tavares. I think Owens can exceed him. NOt that that would be saying a whole lot.
