ozzfest
They brought back Loaiza last year, so why not invite El Duque to spring training?
Kenny Hates Prospects
I'd love to see that. If he's finally gotten over his foot issues then he could do well as a long man or UT kind of pitcher. Carrasco could use some competition at the very least. And if El Duque could make the team, well it's not like there aren't any horrible 2005 first round gross overdraft starting pitchers on the roster that could be released to clear a spot. elrockinMT
I would think the Duke might be worth a shot and there are some others that aren't bad either. Time to strike while the iron is hot KW

Time to strike while the iron is hot KW I'd pay him just to bs with Jose, Alexei and Dayan, to be honest.
whtsoxfan
Why not? He'd be better than Colon and not as tough on the all you can eat buffets around town. He was a good clubhouse guy as I recall to. El Duque could probably pitch in the Big Leagues at 60. He might be 60 for all we know. He, Contreas, Ramirez and Victor sign Castro as well he might have something left.

No, pleaseeeeeeeee! Hire him as a pitching coach in the minors if he wants that. He will have injures real or not because his old body can not take it anymore.
