Listening to WCKG.....

Steve Dahl was interviewing Rob Gallas and threw out to the Director of White Sox Marketing a "Burn In Effigy Day" starting with Billy Botch. He talked of an angry mob of White Sox fans with torches burning Botch at a symbolic stake in CF using Botch's facial hair as a wick to light the make-shift pyre.

THAT'S MARKETING GALLAS

Funny thing about this soundbyte was Dahl was completely serious (he's a Die-Hard Sox fan) and Gallas was extremely uneasy discussing burning Botch in effigy in this soundbyte.

Steve Dahl could do more with White Sox marketing in a week than Gallas has done his whole pathetic Sox marketing career.

i would have to agree with you completely

What's the commercial, I don't live in the Chicago area...

it shows maggs and someone from the scrubs (foregt who right now) hitting balls all over chicago land... and at the end they are both eating a mcflurry from mc donalds.......no words spoken except for the end where the mc donalds announcer says for a limited time get your mc flurry at mcdonalds in a special sox/scrubs cup or something like that......some pretty funny stuff where the balls land.. and the reactions on peoples faces.........

I'm glad it's Patterson rather than Corky.

That commercial is stupid.

Rob Gallas is horrible.

Steve Dahl is washed up.

it may be stupid.. and gallas could on his best day never come up with something as good..........and as for dahl...who gives a s***.........the point is gallas sucks and the sox will never have good pr exposure in a commercial cause no one in that office has the talent enough to promote them in the proper way.........mho........

I just wish they would stop trying to promote the Sox like they're a picnic at Navy Pier or something. OK, we GET IT, you want families to come to games!!!!

Just promote the players and the game!!!!
