Pretty nice 6 inning outing for Omogrosso tonight...

Gave up 3 runs on 5 hits; struck out 10 and walked 2.

Birmingham up 4-3 in the 7th.

Beckham and Retherford with 2 hits apiece.

nother HR for Viciedo, he's put together a pretty decent stretch this past week.

I love hearing about the Barons. Keep up the great work, guys

Another player having a nice little run right now...

W-S 2B Dale Mollenhauer.

Batting .455 over his last 10 games (15 for 33).

Raises his season average to .365

Omogrosso's fastball was really humming tonight. I think I've discovered Flowers' weakness throwing runners out. It's his footwork. He doesn't shuffle his feet forward when he jumps up to throw. Viciedo's homer was a low liner to left center. He is gonna be deadly when he finally starts pulling. Beckham's second double barely was fair. It hit chalk in the left field corner. He also made a spectacular diving catch in short left. Full layout dive on a blooper.

Garrett Johnson.. you are the weakest link.. goodbye.

LOL, on that staff he sure is. That was his first bad outing this year though.

How about CJ Retherford? Undrafted free agent signing, 23 years old and he's got a .947 OPS in AA so far (and playing in a pitcher-friendly park). He might turn out to be one hell of a find.
