Gookie Dawkins is now a member of the Reno Aces. I guess he got traded for future considerations. :crying One of my favorite AAAA players.

Yes and no. No, because when Lillibridge was sent to Charlotte, they had an open roster spot. Yes, because both Dawkins and Lillibridge are utility guys, and Daryle Ward was activated from the DL at the same time. So, Dawkins was deemed expendable. At least he wasn't outright released to make room for Lillibridge.

Not to worry. We'll likely reacquire him... again... if we have a need for roster filler next year.

True, this sorta happened to him last year. He was acquired from Philly a month into the season, then traded a month later to KC to make room for Danny "Who Needs Aaron Cunningham?" Richar.

Okay, now Gookie's with the New Orleans Zephyrs. Don't know what's going on, he was listed with Reno for two days. Okay, Reno and New Orleans are playing each other, guess that's where it got confused.
