Great Falls White Sox center-fielder Ricardo Nanita's hitting streak came to an end at 30 games last night. Nanita was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts before being hit by a pitch in the eighth inning. Great Falls had five hits in the first inning and score six times on their way to a 9-7 win over the Missoula Osprey.

Nanita’s streak is a Pioneer League record and the longest in professional baseball this season. He fell one game short of tying Kevin Hoopers' 31-game hitting streak last year for the second longest in the National Association this century.

Ventura had a 58 gamer in college, but some D3 kid out did him.  Joe D had a 56 gamer for the Yanks.  I don't know if there was a longer one in the minors or Japan or something..

College doesn't count. And to clarify, we are talking American professional baseball.

Need all three to take the prize.

Fine... Joe Dimaggio 61 games AAA San Francisco Seals.

There, blah blah blah.

Thank you....

About time someone looked it up! LOL

I knew Dimaggio had a 61 game hit streak, just didn't know the club, so I assumed it was with the Yanks. Right system, though.
