indeed. like i said, he has not payed attention to anything within the last 10 years, but maybe i was being too generous.

 

also, howard cosell was the f***ing man. he didn't kiss up to any athletes like they were gods, like broadcasters do nowadays. his interviews with muhammad ali are classic. they would go back and forth with their own verbal jabs but the respect was there.

Of the modern day sports announcers, my favorites are Chick Hearn (rest in peace Chicky, us Laker fans will never forget you and how great you truly were), Bob Costas, and Jim Lampley.

I actually really like Ken Harrelson, but only when he Darrin Jackson shuts his pie hole long enough to let him talk. God I miss Wimpy!!
