First poll in a while. I may have screwed this up.

I have to take my Grandmother to O'Hare for a 10:30am flight tomorrow. Coming from Indiana and leaving around 8:15 (Have to get my 2nd grader off to school first)

I haven't been through the city or on 294 in a while. How's the construction, etc. at that time?

My answer as a fellow NW INer is to listen to 780 AM and check the traffic report. Distance-wize it is way quicker through the city, but if you are talking about AM, it is rush hour, which would suck, and most likely the tollway would be quicker (you do have IPASS/IZOOM right?). If you are talking about PM, go through the city for sure.

No, I don't have IPASS. Think I'm crazy and want the government tracking my every move?

I know distance wise it's shorter through the city. Myself, I always fly out around 6am and back around 10pm. I can make it in about 1:15 then.

If it's at night then go through the city.

I went through the city after listening to the traffic reports. There was one "big" backup through the construction on the Ford and a bunch of little ones on the tri-state. It took about 1:15. I came home 294 after seeing a 10 mile backup into the city on the Kennedy. Took about 1 hour to get home.
