2010 Preview: Catchers

White Sox pitchers and catchers reported today! This means it's officially time to start thinking about baseball season. FutureSox is going to breakdown each position in the minor league system to gear up for the regular season, starting with the catchers. The Sox have a deep crew of backstop prospects going into 2010, so what can we expect from them? more...

Nice write up.

Gonzalez is the one I'm most excited about because of his defense and good bat. Especially at his age.

Phegley I want to see become better, because my dad is in love with him.

I don't like Flowers, and never really have. No idea why either, but for some reason I don't think he'll be great in the Majors...just a gut feeling. I hope he proves me wrong since the Sox have so much invested in him, but if they can get a lefty power bat for him, go for it.

good read, thx

I'm very excited about Gonzalez. I've been following him since he played on the DSL teams and was really looking forward to seeing what he could do in the states. He hasn't disappointed so far and could potentially be the first true dual-threat behind the plate for the sox since the days of Fisk.
