I agree with Chisoxfn.  I'd deal Malone for the right guy, too.

I agree, Malone is expendable. He may make a comeback and end up doing well, but he is definitely no long untouchable.

Here is one I would do tho, that we discussed on other forum. Borchard and Cotts for Vazquez from Expos. We preferred Borchard and Rauch, but if we had to, I would do Cotts. Otherwise I hang onto him.

Borchard and Rauch for Vazquez would be a very fair deal as it wold be if it was Cotts instead.

 

I think Sox will acquire Vazquez or Ponson. Its just a hunch I have. I think KW will look at the price for the mediocre pitchers and say screw it...I can get one of those two and keep them long term and not really give up much more.

I sure hope your right on your hunch. But, BBTN just said that Omar Minaya(sp?) said that doesn't think any deal involving Vazquez, Vidro, or Vlad will be approved by MLB.
