I'd be fine with a split in Minnesota, but those pitching matchups look really good for us.

That's because any pitching matchups with the Twins are going to look good for us. The Twins rotation, outside of Pavano and Liriano, is just not very good.

For sure no doubt, but some people are acting like the kid needs to pitch against only teams like KC, Seattle, etc.. every night. Eventually he has to face the Bostons, NYY of the world. Luckally he already has that MLB experience from last year, and I'm one of Huddy's biggest fans so I know he can handle it.

I believe they already announced the starters for the Twins series...Danks,Floyd,Buehrle,Garcia....as was suggested.

I agree totally that this sets up very well for Hudson. Seattle,Oakland,Baltimore,Detroit ect....good schedule for him.

Even Liriano has had 2 bad starts in his last three outings. Pavano is the only starter for the Twins that has not blown up big time the last 3-5 times thru the rotation.

Post AS Break, I go:

1. Danks

2. Floyd

3. Buehrle

4. Garcia

5. Hudson

Don't skip anyone, and I use a spot starter on August 7th so nobody is on short rest.

That sets up the Minnesota series this way:

1-2-3-4

5-1-2

1-2-3

1-2-3

That's maximizing the lefties.

Detroit series:

3-4-5-1

3-4-5

4-5-1-2

4-5-1

That maximizes the righties, especially Freddy, against the Tigers.

Assuming no one needs extra rest and there's no injuries......

Based on the schedule that's set up, are you comfortable with Hudson getting these 14 starts:

7-19 at Sea

7-25 at Oak

7-30 vs Oak

8-4 at Det

8-10 vs Min

8-15 vs Det

8-21 at KC

8-27 vs NY

9-1 at Cle

9-7 at Det

9-12 vs KC

9-18 vs Det

9-25 at Ana

9-30 vs Bos
