Paul Konerko's Back Injury

Featured Replies

I just heard on MLB Network that Konerko was lifted in the 9th inning today because he was having some back issues. I didn't see or listen to today's game so does anyone else have any information on this. Something like how severe his injury is or if he is expected to miss any more significant playing time. Man we need Paulie's bat, would totally suck if he went down for any period of time.

He's not playing tomorrow, he tweaked his back yesterday and tried to play through it today. Seems like day-to-day.

Maybe we can see Teahen play 1st tomorrow batting 6th? Who am I kidding? Kotsay doubled today, he will be in there batting cleanup tomorrow. B)

BOSTON -- Paul Konerko, who left Sunday's game with lower back stiffness, is day-to-day and will be re-evaluated on Monday in Detroit before the White Sox open a four-game series with the Tigers.

The White Sox pinch hit Andruw Jones for designated hitter Konerko in the ninth inning of Sunday's 7-5 win over the Red Sox.

oh boy, more Kotsay

Yeah, I worry about back injuries as well. And obviously he's having a helluva season.
