Mark Gonzalez has a nice article up about Leesman and how he improved at Birmingham. JPN - What did you think of his delivery, upside, and mechanics?

He notes Ozzie really likes his 95 MPH FB. But the downside is behind Sale he is the best lefty in the Org right as a prospect and KW may trade him.

Thoughts?

He seemed to have serious command problems when he first got to B'ham. But, he worked everything out and pitched well. His delivery was a tad herky-jerky, but smooth overall. He's a lefty with a good fastball, so his upside is good. Depends on how he handles advanced hitters. His mechanics are fine, he just needs to make sure he doesn't struggle with control. Sorry if that's not more enlightening.

JPN- Apart from the decent FB what 2ndary ptiches does he have? I mean I heard the same kind of write-up about Poreda having a great FB and no 2ndary stuff and he has really been a bust.

Keep in mind that Poreda's delivery and arm movement prevented him from ever developing a true plus secondary pitch. You could tell that he changed his style of pitching to throw his offspeed, which is a dead giveaway to hitters on what's coming.

I always saw Leesman as a reliever, but lefty relievers are still valuable.

If I remember correctly, he threw an okay changeup just to keep hitters honest. I think he also threw some sort of splitter or some kind of fastball with a late sinking action. He still needs some seasoning.
