# 5 Starters

Featured Replies

Our # 5 starters have started a total of 20 games.

Wright 12

Stewart 5

Porzio 3

Can someone from our crack research team come up with the team's record in these 20 games? I know from today's paper we are now 6-6 in Wright's 12 starts. Don't know about the other 8 starts, although we did win at least 2 of them. At the worst we are 8-12 in games started by our #5 starters. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

Not as bad as I thought either....

That's a good question to ask. I didn't know if we had any wins with Wright on the mound. Porzio was a 1-1 situation I believe. Didn't we beat the Tribe in the first game he pitched like 4-3. He went 5 innings that time.

Porzio only made 2 starts and was 1-1. Stewart made 5 and the Sox were 2-3 in his starts.

Porzio made 3 starts. So we were either 9-11 or 10-10 in those 20 starts. However, I think it's fair to say that the quality of the starting pitching for those 20 starts was slightly below expectations. Of course, almost the whole team was below expectations for the first two months of the season. It still would be nice if someone stepped up in the next couple of starts from the 5 hole.

Sorry about that...... the place I looked wasn't updated past his July 26th start. It was a loss, by the way.

Here's what we thought at the end of last season

maybe im missing something here but according to their Yahoo Stats, Danny Wright has started 60 games in his career? 15 of them last year.

Hell yes. Danny won 14 games as our #5 starter in 2002.
