March 30, 201115 yr Author QUOTE (NHDadUmp-RI @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 04:14 PM) Terry Doyle just landed in Winston-Salem. Really?!
March 30, 201115 yr This should help to confirm a few things. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/sport...0,2074739.story
March 30, 201115 yr QUOTE (JPN366 @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 07:39 PM) Really?! Yeah, I thought for sure he'd be in B-Ham this year.
March 30, 201115 yr Author Winston-Salem's roster has been set. They are playing a friendly against the White Sox tonight. It could change before they play their first official game next week. Some shockers on there.
March 31, 201115 yr Some of those bazillion relievers you have in Charlotte will end up in B-Ham. And wasn't Zaleski released?
March 31, 201115 yr Author QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 10:27 AM) Some of those bazillion relievers you have in Charlotte will end up in B-Ham. And wasn't Zaleski released? Probably, I'm wondering now who will be the bullpen lefty for the Barons. Maybe Leesman? Not sure about Zaleski, I know he was resigned back in January. Edited March 31, 201115 yr by JPN366
March 31, 201115 yr QUOTE (JPN366 @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 10:29 AM) Probably, I'm wondering now who will be the bullpen lefty for the Barons. Maybe Leesman? Not sure about Zaleski, I know he was resigned back in January. I think they keep Leesman a starter as long as possible. I actually thought they might have Hector Santiago make a big jump to AA, they seem to like him, but he ended up in W-S. So I have no idea.

March 31, 201115 yr Author QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 02:43 PM) I think I just figured it out... the LOOGY in B-Ham may be Garrett Johnson. Now that would shock me, but you never know. I had him projected for W-S.
April 1, 201115 yr QUOTE (JPN366 @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 03:55 PM) Now that would shock me, but you never know. I had him projected for W-S. But he's not in W-S, so either he's getting demoted back to Kanny, or he's in B-Ham.

April 2, 201115 yr QUOTE (JPN366 @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 03:36 PM) There's still a week before the season starts, so somebody could be signed. You see BA's latest round of transactions? Several cuts, a few of which we know of. http://www.baseballamerica.com/blog/prospe...ns-march-23-29/

April 2, 201115 yr Author I have a hunch that the Colonel signing means a corner infielder got hurt. Gilmore? Loman? McPherson? Gallagher? He's not going to W-S at age 29. Perhaps Daryle Ward retired? Hate to see Robbie Hudson go. Edited April 2, 201115 yr by JPN366

April 3, 201115 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 07:48 PM) Did I read that right about Infante to AA? Yes. He will start the year in Birmingham.
April 3, 201115 yr QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 08:48 PM) Yes. He will start the year in Birmingham. Are they stretching him out, or he is going down as a reliever?
April 3, 201115 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 08:50 PM) Are they stretching him out, or he is going down as a reliever? Haven't heard anything about starting so I'll assume he stays in the 'pen. People forget he only had 26.1 innings there last year and still hasn't pitched in AAA.

People forget he only had 26.1 innings there last year and still hasn't pitched in AAA. Yeah its just strange, he went from almost an assumption to be in the Sox pen this year, to at AA as a reliever. Crazy.
April 4, 201115 yr Author QUOTE (JPN366 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 08:50 AM) I have a hunch that the Colonel signing means a corner infielder got hurt. Gilmore? Loman? McPherson? Gallagher? He's not going to W-S at age 29. Perhaps Daryle Ward retired? Hate to see Robbie Hudson go. I was right, the tentative Barons roster is out and Jon Gilmore is missing from the active 24. Justin Greene is also missing, but Nevin Griffith is on it. Link Edited April 4, 201115 yr by JPN366
