There's a difference between giving credit where credit is due and giving them a blowjob whenever they possibly can.

I haven't heard a thing that wasn't true.

An Alex Rios with an attitude sounds good to me.

Talk is cheap. I don't mind Alex saying whatever he wants to say, but the Sox have to show something on the field.

The Sox lost every possible way to Minnesota in recent history.

The one saving grace was the one-game playoff, a totally satisfying, meaningful win.

It really would be nice to see the Sox play better against all teams in the division this year. The only reason the Sox were halfway in the race last season was the utter domination of the NL. I don't think the Sox can bank on that every year.

the captain was quick to correct him this morning, saying the division champs are the team to beat.

If there are any blowjobs, they are occurring on the field of play and nowhere else.

Sox record vs. Twins:

2000: 7-5 (.583)

2001: 5-14 (.263)

2002: 8-11 (.421)

2003: 9-10 (.474)

2004: 9-10 (.474)

2005: 11-7 (.611)

2006: 9-10 (.474)

2007: 9-9 (.500)

2008: 9-10 (.474) - this includes game 163

2009: 6-12 (.333)

2010: 5-13 (.278)

These years were contention years, and this is how we did vs. the Twins down the stretch those years:

2000: 4-2 over last 6

2003: 2-5 over last 7

2005: 7-3 over the last 10

2006: 4-8 over last 12, but the final 3 games didn't matter (we were out of it), so actually 2-7 over the last 9 that mattered

2008: 2-6 over last 8 including game 163

2010: 3-10 over last 13

Since the last full rebuilding effort ended with the 2000 season, we've run out two teams over the last 11 years that were capable of beating the Twins. The 2000 team had the best record in the AL and was tied (with Atlanta and St. Louis) for the second-best record in all of baseball, two games behind the Giants. In 2005 we also had the best record in the AL and the second-best record in baseball, one game behind St. Louis, and of course everyone knows what happened that year.

So yeah. And this s*** has gone on well before Ozzie got here. And LMAO at anyone trying to make it out like Hawk has anything to do with it. GTFO.

^BTW isn't it hilarious that the second-worst winning percentage we put up vs. the Twins in the last 11 years happened AFTER they got rid of the dome? You couldn't script this s*** any better if you're a Twins fan.

Pretty humbling post.

I'm sure Twins fans wish they'd take it a step further and build a team not only capable of beating the White Sox, but also capable of having a shot in the playoffs. The Twins haven't even come close to winning a playoff series of late.
