Tucker out

Featured Replies

ESPN ticker just showed Michael Tucker is out 6-8 weeks with a broken leg. That foul ball he took off the leg looked very similar to the one Jermaine Dye took a year or 2 ago.

Hmm......yesterday they said it wasn't that serious.

"But the Royals were hit with yet another injury. After a 4-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox, they announced Tucker will miss six to eight weeks with a broken right leg.

The Royals initially thought Tucker suffered a bone bruise when he hit a ball off his leg Monday night, but tests in Kansas City on Wednesday showed the break. He was put on the 15-day disabled list."

i knew it was broke the minute it happened.

How, Dr. PinStripes?

The angle of the leg?

Distinctive swelling?

Discoloration visible through the uniform pants?

Please share your diagnostic methods and techniques...

I think he was going by Tucker's reaction. He is a tough kid, and he would not have been grimacing like that for so long over a bone bruise.

DON'T MAKE EXCUSES FOR HIM, FAINTER!!!!!!!

You cant go by reaction. I broke my wrist, and every single person told me i was fine, mostly due to my lack of reaction, lack of swelling, and that i could still move it. The fact is, noone can tell anything but those who are trained.

My mom was watching the game, and told me the instant she saw the replay that something of Tucker's was broken. She works at a hospital, so I took her word for it.

How badly was it broken?

I know a guy that broke some bone around his elbow. Didn't know he broke it, couldn't tell it was broken, but when he finally did find it, it had already grown back, and it didn't grow back correctly, and now he can't straighten out that arm(meaning it will always be bent)

However, I could also tell that he broke something. I mean, you seriously don't go down in a heap like that if something doesn't hurt like a b****, and I think the only thing I can think of that would hurt that much that a baseball could do without breaking something would be getting hit in the junk with a baseball, and if you are actually playing baseball, odds are, you will be wearing a cup.

I was almost positive that he broke his leg on that too.

You could tell it was serious from the look on his face..He had guts coming back to the dugout after his x-ray..I respect that....but i'm glad we won and better him than Mags
