If we had a Smoltz type closer it's simple. You trot Mark out and wait for the first sign of trouble. Then, if necessary, bring in the stud closer. Jerry has to be sitting there holding his breath hoping to not need the pen. I'm starting to feel a little sorry for the guy.

    Leaving Mark in allowed the bullpen (read Flash and Marte) to have two full days of rest. After the KC series they were both about shot. Thankfully Mark had a great night and JM was able to let him finish it.
