Not a prospect, never gonna be a prospect. He's a minor league roster filler. Sorry. He was probably the best ball player anyone at his high school ever saw. Probably a great guy. He's stuck to it for a long time. Not a major leaguer.

No really has ever even talked about Ross Gload otehr than as a nice conversation piece about our AAA team. It has been pointed out often that he is AAAA material and will only be called up if the situation was dire, (i.e. Cotts.)

I became a big fan of Gload when I saw him play with Charlotte. He's got good speed for a first baseman, a lot of pop and very quick hands. He can also play good defense.

 

I think if given a chance, he could produce.
