Especially how they cannot get it together on the road. 1967 the 4 team race us, Boston, Detroit, Minnesota - for months no one was ever more than a few games apart from the others it came down to the final week - we lost a doubleheader to the KC As (not Royals, As) and Boston won when Minnesota dropped the 2nd game of a doubleheader on the last day of the season - that was so nip and tuck, teams trading places, no one getting ahead or behind week after week after excruciating week - this season may be like 67 and if it does, it will make real Sox fans out of you all, separate the "can't take it"s from the diehard survivalistl fans - and mature you up into the perpeptual joy and agony that is White Sox baseball

In '64 I was 6 years old, so it didn't really hit home at that age. But '67 .... that still hurts to think about. Thankfully, the '69 Cubs made us all feel better.
