Walk-off HR's and being responsilbe for batting in all four of your team's runs will tend to make even ESPN take notice.

I feel so much better right now. I had forgotten what it was like to win.

Believe me, sir, I'm thoroughly aware. It's been six days though. I've been beaten down, but never lost hope.

Is this the most up and down team ever? At least in the Sox franchise history?

They can be so exciting one day and then be absolutely dead another day

It is strange. Especially how they cannot get it together on the road.

To clear things up, that pic is of the 7th inning homer.

Oh, I thought that was awfully quick. I've already saved it and named it "walk off Washburn"

Oh well. A great picture nonetheless.

Not good either considering we have yet to play NY, BOS, MIN, and KC on the road. Don't forget either that last time we went to DET we got our asses swept.

:bang Sorry about that.

This was huge. I've bashed Frank a lot, but I'll give him credit tonight.

I still want to see him produce on a consistent basis. Having him get hot would be HUGE :headbang

1967

the 4 team race

us, Boston, Detroit, Minnesota -

for months no one was ever more than a few games apart from the others

it came down to the final week - we lost a doubleheader to the KC As (not Royals, As) and Boston won when Minnesota dropped the 2nd game of a doubleheader on the last day of the season -

that was so nip and tuck, teams trading places, no one getting ahead or behind week after week after excruciating week -

this season may be like 67 and if it does, it will make real Sox fans out of you all, separate the "can't take it"s from the diehard survivalistl fans - and mature you up into the perpeptual joy and agony that is White Sox baseball

Ah yes, my first real heartbreak as a Sox fan. In '64 I was 6 years old, so it didn't really hit home at that age. But '67 .... that still hurts to think about. Thankfully, the '69 Cubs made us all feel better. :)
