Jordan4life_2003
U know it's really hit me recently. The last 2 years Frank has totally sucked ballz on the road. Yet he's a killer at home. Why is this? U know we b**** and moan about how JM should play Frank at 1st to get him hittin. He hits at home no matter if he plays 1st or dh's. It's on the road where the guy can't hit. And this really bothers me because Frank used to be a killer on the road. Help me out guys

At home when the SOX are on the field, Frank can take practice swings in a batting cage below the dugout & can even get someone to throw pitches at him. There's plenty at home to keep Frank in tune. But on the road, all he can do is sit. If you're not going to play him at 1B, it might be wise to let him roam the bullpen when it's not likely he's going to get an ab over a stretch. Sandy came in from the BP to hit one night, so I don't think it's against the rules for him to get some practice swings out there. Maybe put up a net or something. But personally I'd like to see him play 1B. Frank takes pride at his play at 1B & that's historically carried over into his hitting.

But sometimes I wanna stick a passafier in his mouth. He's so delicate these days. He needs to play 1st. He needs people throwin for him. Chisoxfn
I wonder if the Sox could set something out in the visitors dugout. I think this makes a lot more sense. I understand if he isn't able to hit as much if he can't get some action down in the cages between innings. I know most DH's do this. If this is the case, then give Thomas a few starts on each road trip to keep his mind fresh. Can anyone do a breakdown with Frank's stats as a DH at home, and as a DH on the road. And do the same with him as a 1st baseman at home and as a first baseman on the road.

forkit
Nuke, get the "Frank rash" out of your shorts. Call the doc and get a shot--they can cure that these days, you know. He carried the team last night. Can't you give it a rest for one damned day??? Forkit!
