August 22, 200322 yr While we're debating the merits of the latest Sox pickup, here's a question: We've made some very aggressive trades this year, even though we weren't in first place in our own division [at least, at the time of each trade]. If you believe what KW said after yesterday's trade for Sullivan, the Sox are looking to see if there are more additions possible... Who's behind all these moves? Is Kenny still pulling the trigger? Has Eddie Einhorn returned to the saddle? And if he has, what will happen to KW after the season ends? Who's the front-runner if he is replaced? Inquiring minds want to knowyour thoughts and guesses! Forkit!

August 22, 200322 yr Who's behind all these moves? <clip> Inquiring minds want to knowyour thoughts and guesses! there are several schools of thought on that one. one possibility is KW is fully GM - whatever was going down in the early part of the season no longer applies. another possibility: Hemond is pulling the strings. At the moment, I lean towards the first.
August 22, 200322 yr It's interesting to note that KW has consistently referred to a collective rather than himself when it came to these deals. "We thought..." as oppossed to "I thought..." If KW is truly in charge, it is his decision along with JR's blessing to pull the trrigger on deals. "We" implies that the decision is being made by a group. I think the "we" is Einhorn, Hahn, and Hemond.

That is becasue Episode III comes out next Memorial Day, man I loved Attack of the Clones.
August 22, 200322 yr Einhorn? Doubt it. I think it's KW. I was dead set against him when he was hired and pissed off through his many mistakes, but damn, he's going all out now.

Please, enlighten me on this.
