Mark Mulder

You know, Mark Mulder flat out dominates every time he pitches against the Sox. I think he has 2 CGs against us this year. All that said, he is probably one of my favorite pitchers in all of baseball and I love watching him pitch.

Now for the bad news:

Boston's in as the Wild Card.

Or the twins. Their schedule is very favorable.

If the Twins make the playoffs....it will be as AL CENTRAL Champs.

They are 7 Gms behind Oakland and Boston.

If the Twins win the Wild Card, KC or the Sox would have to put quite a run together as the AL Central Champs to put a together better than the Twins BoSox and A's.

That really does hurt Oakland's wild card chances. Hudson hurt his hand and skipped his last start. Zito has been struggling. Harden has been getting rocked now that he is not facing Detroit or Cleveland. Lilly is a number #5 and they've added Halama to the rotation. It wouldn't surprise me to see Livan Hernandez in the green and gold soon.

I fully expect the sox and twins to win the majority of their remaning games. 7 games is a lot to make up, but it happens.

Good point. If you think about it, we made up 7 or so games in about two weeks time after the break.

The first thing that I thought of was that this had huge implications for us. This probably does put Boston in the Wild Card, meaning they will play Seattle, meaning the Central Division Champs, us, get the Yankees. Hello Prime Time.

Had Oakland and Seattle made the playoffs, we probably would have played their Division Champ.

That's what I've been hoping for. First, I want the Yankees. Second, I want to dodge Seattle if at all possible.

Nice to talk about being in the playoffs realistically.

It's nice to talk about being in the playoffs, but we still ain't there yet. I hope our good vibes about finally winning the division doesn't come back to hurt us. Regardless, I wouldn't want to play Seattle 1st either, I think they're the team to beat with all that speed they got in the outfield and if Moyer and Piniero turn it on.

:stupid

We need to make a statement against the Yanks this week, just something for them to remeber come October.
