So did I. Then I read his post and wanted to change my vote to an option that didn't exist.

For any Sox player expected to be with the team in 2015 and beyond, I want to see them play as well as possible. If guys not in the long-term plans (Axelrod, Troncoso) blow games, I don't mind the loss. Wouldn't want to see Reed start piling up a bunch of blown saves just to get a better draft pick, though.

7th or 8th pick? Jesus. I want something in the middle to happen. Young guys play strong but we get the 3rd or 4th pick.

 

The point is to get a discussion going over whether one thing or the other would be better. Of course everyone wants sunshine AND rainbows. But that leads to boring discussion.

There have been plenty of games of late where the young guys played well and they still managed to lose. Anything outside of a top 3 pick would be a huge disappointment. This team needs more talent, plain and simple.
