Dodgers waivers

All three of the Dodgers’ highly-paid, veteran outfielders — Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, and Carl Crawford — have cleared revocable waivers along with pitcher Josh Beckett, reports Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com (via Twitter). Infielder Hanley Ramirez, however, was claimed (which, of course, does not mean he will be changing teams).

Wow that Ethier deal is horrible. If the Dodgers would eat about $10M/season and ask for nothing in return, I might be willing to roll the dice on him as part of a rotating DH. Best case scenario he's a platoon guy, but he's been very effective against RHP prior to this season.

When can we expect the Sox waivers to begin?

They probably have. Waiver lists and claims are not released publicly, and teams aren't supposed to give out the info. There seem to be more and more "sources" in recent years, but the lack of information still doesn't mean that the Sox haven't done anything.

You aren't going to get that info from Chicago reporters. Your best chance is to get it by proxy from out of town reporters in places that have interested in White Sox players and leak that someone is on waivers, because they might be interested in trading for/claiming them.
