August 5, 201411 yr Wow that Ethier deal is horrible. If the Dodgers would eat about $10M/season and ask for nothing in return, I might be willing to roll the dice on him as part of a rotating DH. Best case scenario he's a platoon guy, but he's been very effective against RHP prior to this season.
August 5, 201411 yr When can we expect the Sox waivers to begin? They probably have. Waiver lists and claims are not released publicly, and teams aren't supposed to give out the info. There seem to be more and more "sources" in recent years, but the lack of information still doesn't mean that the Sox haven't done anything.

Your best chance is to get it by proxy from out of town reporters in places that have interested in White Sox players and leak that someone is on waivers, because they might be interested in trading for/claiming them.
