I Need Help Thread

Featured Replies

I have no idea what thread to put this in but I need some help from you guys.

Does anyone know a photographer in the Chicago area? Someone who does Weddings, Senior pictures, engagement pictures, that sort of thing. They don't need to be some professional but someone that has experience and has proven work.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Timothy Whaley & Associates did my wedding and they were great. Specifically, our photographer was a guy named Bill Jaeger and he was really good, did everything we asked of him, and knew where the line was between good art and the corny, staged-looking photos that you often see photographers forcing wedding parties to do. This was a few years ago, so Bill might not be there anymore but I'm sure the company has plenty of capable people.

Might be slightly on the expensive side.

That might be too much for what I am looking for. Let me explain what I am wanting them for.

I am going to propose to my girlfriend within the next year and we are planning on visiting Chicago in mid March and that time is when I am thinking about doing it. One thing she has always told me is she wants pictures. So I want to find someone to be where I am planning on doing it to take pictures. I want them to just seem like someone taking pictures of the city when in reality they are there to take pictures of the moment and get some good pictures afterwards.

I guess I'm not looking for a big company but someone who does photography as a side job or something of that nature.

When it comes to photography, keep one thing in mind ... you will get what you pay for.

Yes, I'm not looking for some big production. If it is better then most cell phone pictures I would be fine lol. I would have my family member that lives in Chicago to do it but that would be too obvious. I really just want someone to take pictures of the moment so we have that forever.
