More proof that Cubbie Koo-Aid Kills

Quick look at the front page of the Cub-une's sports page & you'd think the Flubbs actually acomplished something. According to this article the Cubs "DEALT THE CARDS A DEATH BLOW!" Quick look at the standings reveals that they are a half a game ahead of St. Louis. Someone needs to take a nice cold shower after writing that one.

And thy're in 2nd place. Nice.

I think it was a typo. It should have said "The Cubs Try to Blow Cards for a Win".

Sounds like bulletin board material for the Cards.

Normally i tend to sway away from articles concerning the Cubs (unless they lost a game or if its in a comparison to the sox) but after the series concluded yesterday I couldnt avoid them. At school I hear people talk about it, on the train people are arranging places to meet before going to Wrigley, and everywhere in between I see a blinding array of cubs clothing.

This Cub induced coma is gripping Chicago, and I for one am praying to the vengeful baseball gods that Milwuakee Brewers kick the living s*** out of them in this series. Thats the ONLY way everyone in this city will stop hearing about the "best baseball series of all time!!!!!!!!" And if the Cubs lose the series then more then likely they will end up where they started before playing STL. Thus, we will all finally be spared the high pitch squealing of Chip Carey yelling, " WHAT A PLAY!!!!!!!!!!" And " CUBS WIN!!!!!"

The Cards bulletin board would take up the entire club house if they just read the sports section of the Tribune.

Now write for the Tribune, the Iraqi Information minister...

Baggs, Biggio and Kent, we're counting on you, fellas.
